HAPPY 1ST DAY OF SCHOOL!
Happy first day of virtual learning! We are excited to kick off the 2020-2021 school year. I am thrilled for virtual learning this year. This will be a new and amazing adventure for us all.
Your family may be experiencing some uneasiness or nervousness regarding a new school year, under new circumstances, in a new learning environment. Please rest assured that your teachers and the entire iFlagler staff are here to help make this transition to virtual education as easy as possible.
Please understand that iFlagler Virtual School has a K-12 program. Please note that procedures are different between elementary K-5, middle school 6-8, and high school 9-12. If you have children in different grade levels (or friends) please expect differences. Your teachers and I will communicate the information you need per grade level.
Please remember as virtual learners there is flexibility in the schedule. You and your students are not required to be logged into a class at a specific time. Each class has a weekly pacing guide. Assignments itemized for the week must be completed and submitted within the week. Students are able to create their own schedule, just as long as all assigned work for the week is submitted by the end of the week.
Have a wonderful first day of school and an amazing school year!
Educationally yours,
Erin Quinn
Assistant Principal
iFlagler Virtual Programs
Dear Secondary iFlagler Students and Parents,
We are receiving questions about elective classes. As you can imagine, building iFlagler into the second largest school in the district with an enrollment of over 1600 full-time students in a very short time has had its challenges. We have done our best to place students in electives that best match the electives they had chosen to take if they had returned to their traditional school. You are seeing some differences because iFlagler is not able to offer the same array of electives that are offered at traditional schools. Thank you for understanding.
